Nowadays in Ukraine this name is quite common. My parents gave me this name because they liked very much and besides i was named after my great-grandmother. My name day is on the 30 of June.

I know that my sister gave me this name because she liked it and she wanted to give this name to her future daughter. I think that my name is unique in my town because there are very few people with this name. I know that my name day is on the 8 of June.

  3. I'm Rocksolana.My name isn't Ukrainian.It's Turkish. They say it means "a girl from Kyiv Rus", but I'm not sure it means something at all.My name is quite rare, but in my native town there is already one more girl with this name. I know my Granny decided to call me in such a way, because of a serial "Rocksolana",she told me it was popular at that time.I don't have any name day.
    P.S. It's a pity you miss the 8th question,it's quite interesting for me=)Sometimes I read about my name and think it's just like about me!I'm true Rocksolana=)It's a destiny...

  4. My name is Maria. This is the Hebraic name, but this name very popular in our country. By one version it`s translated - bitter, on the other - the favorite for the third - stubborn. My friend is fond of astrology, and she said that the name Maria refers to the Mercury. If my name was Marya, it would refer to Venus.
    My parents named me so, because they liked this name.

I am Julia.Name Julia is come from Greek language and it means "wavy and fluffy".The old name is Iuliya.It is common in Ukraine.I don't exactly know why my parents gave me that name maybe because they like it very much but I know that when I was born my parents gave me a name Olga but then they decided that it would be better if they give me a name Julia.And I like that they changed their decision.I also know that my day name is on the 15 of January.

    My name is Helen(or Olena).
    Name Elena is name from ancient Greek , from the word "helenos" - light, bright. The original form - Selena, so the Greeks called the moon.The name Elena means: sunny, bright, light, shining etc.The name is very popular,it is fighting for the first place with Natalia, and often it wins, especially in large cities.
    My name was given to me to honor doctor, who took delivery. But parents are expected that they would have a boy(son), so the first two weeks I was without name.
    Nobody else has that name in our family.
    I do not know exactly when my name day,there are a lot of dates in Internet,but I think that my name day is on the 12th of November.
